Mighty Mule gate repair in Las Vegas typically runs $140 to $340 for the most common failures (control board, arm, or receiver), and most jobs are done in one visit. We’re an independent Mighty Mule service provider, not a factory affiliate, so we’ll tell you straight whether fixing the existing opener beats replacing it. If you own a Mighty Mule system and the gate’s stuck, slow, beeping, or refusing to close, call us at (725) 529-9468 and we’ll send a named, photo-badged technician with a written price before any work starts.
How Mighty Mule Products Fail, and How We Fix Them
Mighty Mule makes three main opener lines that show up regularly on Las Vegas gates: the MM series (solar and AC swing gate openers), the FM series (entry-level AC units), and the newer MMT heavy-duty openers. Each fails in predictable ways. Here’s what we see most.
- MM2xx / MM3xx series: control board corrosion. These boards aren’t sealed, and in Las Vegas the fine desert dust gets inside the housing, mixes with morning condensation from cold winter nights, and slowly eats the solder joints. The symptom is a gate that opens but won’t close without pressing the button five times. We replace the board and add a gasket seal rather than just swapping one faulty part for another.
- FM series: stripped plastic drive gears. The FM line uses nylon gears in the arm assembly. When the wind pushes against a heavy gate, that gear takes the brunt. We’ll see an FM opener that sounds like it’s straining but the gate barely moves. OEM replacement arms for the FM series are getting harder to source, so we’ll often rebuild the arm with the board still good and keep the cost around half a full replacement.
- Solar MM units: dead or weak batteries. They don’t make that original Mighty Mule 12V battery anymore in a direct swap, and using a generic battery of the wrong amp-hour rating kills the board. We match the correct battery spec and test the charge controller before buttoning it up. Plenty of people in the Las Vegas heat install a battery from the auto parts store and wonder why the gate dies in a week.
- MMT series: capacitor failures from heat cycling. The MMT line runs an AC capacitor that Las Vegas summers absolutely torture. The symptom is an opener that hums and trips its breaker. The capacitor is a cheap part, and we keep three sizes on the truck, but the real fix is checking the gate’s weight balance before we blow another capacitor.
- All models: receiver range death. Mighty Mule receivers are known for going tone-deaf after a couple of summers of direct sun on the antenna. You’ll notice the opener only responds within ten feet. We test the receiver first, not the remote, because a lot of people replace good remotes.
Styles & brands we work with

Our Mighty Mule Gate Repair Process
- 1
Call us. A live person answers. Not a voicemail. You tell us what the gate’s doing and which opener you have. We’ll give you a ballpark range right then.
- 2
We send you the technician’s name and photo before they pull up. Our people are background-checked and identity-verified under the Threshold Standard, and they show a photo ID badge when they knock.
- 3
The diagnostic. We test the board, the arm, the gearbox, the wiring, and the balance of the gate itself. On a Mighty Mule, the opener usually isn’t the only problem.
- 4
Parts decision made with you. OEM part, quality aftermarket, or rebuild. We tell you the cost of each option, and we put the written price in your hand before any work starts. No surprises at the end.
- 5
The repair. We fix it, test it through at least four full cycles, and adjust the force settings so the gate doesn’t slam itself to piece.
- 6
The guarantee. Every repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the fix doesn’t hold, the return visit is free.
What Mighty Mule Gate Repair Costs in Las Vegas
Here’s what we quote for the jobs we do most:
- Diagnostic visit: $79, waived when you approve the repair.
- Receiver or remote reprogramming: $65 to $120.
- Capacitor replacement (MMT line): $90 to $160.
- Control board replacement (MM2xx/MM3xx): $140 to $260 depending on the board revision.
- Arm/actuator rebuild (FM series): $180 to $340.
- Full opener replacement with Mighty Mule-compatible wiring: $450 to $900, depending on gate size and power source.
The biggest variable is the gate itself. A steel gate that has sagged on its hinges will destroy a new Mighty Mule opener in a year. If you approve the quote, we do the repair and send the invoice for exactly what you approved. Estimates are free, and we’ll tell you what’s worth fixing and what isn’t.

AfterWhy Las Vegas Homeowners Call Warden Gate Repair Las Vegas for Mighty Mule Work
When we send a technician, you know who is coming. Name, background-check, ID badge, the whole Threshold Standard. Some companies dispatch an anonymous truck with a guy who Googles the problem in your driveway. That doesn’t happen here.
We work on Mighty Mule openers every week, but we also service LiftMaster, Ghost Controls, and DoorKing. If the right answer is moving you off a worn-out Mighty Mule to a different brand, we’ll tell you that and quote the switch honestly, with no push. Our founder, Cole Rafferty, built this company because he couldn’t find a repair shop that gave him a straight number on the phone. The whole business is built around that: tell us what it’s doing wrong, and we’ll tell you exactly what it costs to fix it.
FAQs
We are an independent Mighty Mule service provider, not an authorized warranty station, so Mighty Mule’s own warranty is handled through the dealer or retailer you bought from. Our repair work itself is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. Call (725) 529-9468 and we’ll walk you through your options.
Some can, some can’t. Control boards for the MM2xx series are still available new. Certain FM-series arm assemblies are getting scarce, which is why we rebuild them rather than wait six weeks for a backorder. We stock common components on the truck and order the rest fast.
On a Mighty Mule, that’s usually the control board reading a false obstruction signal, often from dust or corrosion on the board’s safety sensor input. We test the sensor separately before condemning the board, because replacing the board and leaving a dead sensor just swaps one error for another.
If the unit is under six years old and the gate itself is sound, repair usually makes sense. If the board, the arm, and the battery are all failing, replacement starts to win. We’ll quote both and you decide. No pressure either way.
We schedule Mighty Mule calls for the same week in most Las Vegas neighborhoods, and our dispatchers are on the phone 24/7. Tell us what the gate’s doing wrong and we’ll get you on the schedule for the soonest honest slot, not the soonest invented one.
